Three Kings Celebration
Just Cares Inc. felt as though this cultural celebration needed to be highlighted in Lakeland. Santa Claus may have gone back to the North Pole to rest, but it doesn’t mean the gift-giving (and receiving) is over — at least not for the thousands of children in Puerto Rico, Latin America and other parts of the world who are anxiously awaiting “El Día de los Reyes” Celebration on Jan. 6th. For many people, the holiday season doesn’t officially end until the 12th day of Christmas known as the “Feast of the Epiphany” or “Three Kings’ Day”. Come join us in this cultural celebration of this holiday as Just Cares bring this FREE event to life for you! First started on January 6th, 2017 come join us every year for this wonderful annual event.
Equal Pay Day (UN) Happy Hour
As Lakeland has grown over the year and become more diverse, Just Cares Inc. felt as though this their needed to be awareness to this growing issue. Equal Pay Day is the symbolic day dedicated to raising awareness of the gender pay gap. This date symbolizes how far into the year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year. Come join us for drinks and appetizers as part of our FREE (UN)Happy Hour, and listen to some powerful women & minorities share their experiences and struggles for equal pay. We encourage you to wear red that day to symbolize how far women and minorities are "in the red" with their pay! First started on April 12th, 2016 come join us every year for this wonderful annual event.
Just Cares Inc. takes great pride in our premier annual event held every year on October 31st. This celebration was created after seeing a need in our community to have an alternative for Halloween, on that day, for people who do not celebrate nor believe in this holiday for a variety of reasons. We are very excited for you to help us celebrate one and all this FREE family friendly event. Our street party will be a monumental thankful expression of the support we have received from our community all these years. Taking place in Downtown Lakeland, between Main Street and Lemon Street, our goal is to fill the streets with families looking for an alternative to Halloween by providing a safe environment where they can have fun and spend quality time as a family. First started on October 31st, 2012 come join us every year for this wonderful annual event.
